Nuclear Reaction
A downloadable game for Windows
Nuclear Reaction is a one-button local-multiplayer game for two to four players. The goal for each player is to survive a world-war, while everyone else gets destroyed.
Update 1.1:
I fixed some stuff that always bothered me about the game
- Beginner friendly UI
- fixed most issues on lower framerate
- screenshakes
- more rotation
- different physics
Instructions:
Activate actions by reacting on the buttons symbol:
- Shoot rockets to destroy enemy bases
- Create shields to defend your base from incoming rockets
- Conquer countries with planes to gain energy for rockets, shields and planes
Features:
- Music from Gustav Holst, Johann Strauss Sr and John Philip Sousa
- Navigate through the game with just one button
- Play with up to 4 players
- Configurable controls

Just played this game with my friend, we laughed our asses off while nuking ourselves multiple times. In one of the games we both nuke each others and ended the game with empty globe. 9/11 would play again
This game is actually really addicting and kinda destorys friendships.

IT can get crazy with two players. Quickly it can turn into a button mash party. Funny little game. Thanks for making it. I hope you enjoy our little video.
Thanks for playing! Did you play the 1.1 build of the game? Because it seems that the framerate caused a lot of problems with the physics and the sizes of the shields probably because you used the Fastest option in the Player Settings, which should have alredy been fixed with that update.
I think it's the decade old laptop we're playing on. I'm not sure which build it was at when we played. After a recording I tend to uninstall to keep the drive free.

Simple idea, yet addictive game. Some online multiplayer and AI might boost the game to a new level.
Thank you! I'm currently missing the motivation to continue working on this game, but I will definitely keep that in mind.
Does the game have gamepad support?
You can configure the controls in the unity player configuration input panel, which starts at the beginning, but the default controls are keyboard only.
Can you make an x64 Linux version of the game?

It didn't work unfortunately, I got this message (in Dutch :p):
'Er is voor bestandstype 'uitvoerbaar bestand' geen toepassing geïnstalleerd.
Wilt u zoeken naar een toepassing om dit bestand mee te openen?'
It basically says that there is no program installed to support this executable. I guess the computer doesn't know that the executable should run on itself and use the data from the folder.
Thanks for publishing a 64-bit version, though.
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 btw
Right click to the launcher, propieties, permissions, launch as an executable.
I tried that. No succes unfortunatly. :(
